Anjoy: Vietnamese Brunch Buffet on Rykestraße

Anjoy is located on Rykestraße in Prenzlauer Berg and cooks North Vietnamese dishes based on family recipes. Owner Huong Do Thanh states that she herself is in the kitchen. The broth for the Pho dates back to her great-grandmother, who worked as a cooking instructor during the French colonial period, and French influences are still evident on the menu today.

On Sundays, a brunch buffet with Vietnamese specialties is available. Adults pay 22 Euros, children up to ten years old pay 10 Euros, drinks are extra. Those who prefer to order à la carte can get Pho from Hanoi, Bun Cha, or the house specialty Flying Noodles, which is theatrically presented at the table.

Hanoi Ambiance and Wooden Benches on the Sidewalk

The room is decorated like a street corner in Hanoi: gas lamps, exposed ceiling cables, and a fruit stand are part of it. Outside, solid wooden tables and benches are arranged in three rows on the wide sidewalk; Rykestraße is wide enough for this. Nearby are Akemi, BRYK Bar, and Masel Topf.

The menu has a dedicated section for vegetarian and vegan dishes, several of which are explicitly vegan, including Monk’s Noodles and Spring Plate. Reservations are made by phone or email; offers for celebrations are available upon request. Senefelderplatz subway station is about 400 meters away, and tram M2 stops on Prenzlauer Allee.
