Yoga Sky: In-depth Training Above the Roofs of Berlin
Yoga Sky is one of the city’s oldest Vinyasa Yoga studios – and it shows. In the light-filled attic of a historic building near Bergmannstrasse in Kreuzberg, you won’t find an anonymous fitness center, but a place with real character. The studio spans over 500 square meters and is divided into two large studios. Those looking for yoga teacher training in Berlin will find a well-thought-out concept here.
The 200h Vinyasa training begins the journey as a yoga teacher, while the 300+ training further deepens and expands one’s own practice. The approach is highly practical: Initially, you focus on how to structure a yoga class, which alignment principles are important for different asanas, how to address individual needs, and the role of breath and the nervous system. Later, philosophical questions are added. The training instructors have all completed multiple trainings, have many years of experience, and continuously pursue further education internationally.
Structure, Community, and More than 40 Classes
The training takes place over eleven weekends at Yoga Sky, usually Fridays from 18:00 to 21:00, Saturdays from 9:00 to 19:00, and Sundays from 9:00 to 15:00. In between, the practice continues: Observing and assisting yoga classes are part of the curriculum, as is regular participation in the instructors’ classes. For this, participants receive a 50-class pass for the studio, valid during the training year and included in the training costs. For those who also simply want to practice regularly: More than 40 yoga classes per week are offered, including relaxing Yin Yoga classes and meditative Shiva Shakti Yoga classes. This way, one remains deeply immersed in the practice even alongside the yoga teacher training.
