What makes SATAMA so special?

The SATAMA Sauna Resort & Spa is located in the heart of Brandenburg on Lake Scharmützelsee, southeast of Berlin and north of the Spreewald, in Wendisch Rietz near Bad Saarow. SATAMA is Finnish and simply means “harbor”. Those who dock here quickly realize why the name is so aptly chosen. Directly on the shore of Lake Scharmützelsee, SATAMA offers sauna culture at the highest level, with nine different saunas and steam baths for both beginners and experienced visitors. Particularly noteworthy is the range of offerings: a sauna park, surrounded by old trees on the south shore of Lake Scharmützelsee, where one can enjoy cocktails at the Theater bar or the light cuisine of the SATAMA kitchen between experiences in the various saunas. The SATAMA Theater: Wellness meets stage art

The absolute heart of the resort is undoubtedly the SATAMA Theater. As Berlin’s and Brandenburg’s largest sauna, the SATAMA Theater offers spectacular show infusions and can accommodate up to 160 sauna enthusiasts simultaneously. The in-house concept is called Well-Tainment® and takes place in one of the world’s largest traditional saunas. Infusions become true productions: As an excellent aromatherapy center, SATAMA uses pure nature in its saunas to transport guests from everyday life into different scent worlds. Those who need to cool down in between have several options. Between sauna sessions, you can cool off in the lake, in the ice grotto, or under natural showers, swim in the outdoor pool, or relax at one of the numerous resting places, both indoors and outdoors, while enjoying the landscape of Lake Scharmützelsee. The spa offerings can also be booked independently of the sauna area: massages help restore a physical-mental balance, relax muscles, and regain energy and relaxation, either in the wellness area or, in summer temperatures, in the sauna garden. Those who wish to extend the experience will find various accommodations just a five-minute walk from the sauna park, from short trips to wellness weekends for couples.
