Berliner Büchertisch

Büchertisch is not just a Kreuzberg bookstore, but a community project organized as an association and cooperative in Kreuzberg. This project is generally involved in promoting reading and, for example, supports school libraries, distributes book cases to schools (“Lesetroll”), maintains book donation points, and accepts book donations. At Büchertisch, you can also simply read. In winter on the sofa, in summer in the green courtyard.

But you can also simply buy inexpensive books. The two bookstores offer about 50,000 used books in all areas of fiction and non-fiction: thrillers, historical novels, classics, drama, poetry, English and other foreign language literature, or non-fiction books on pedagogy, medicine, cooking, travel guides, and much more. Just drop by and browse!
