Jamboree means "excessive celebration" or simply "party". The bar is centrally located at the Marlene-Dietrich Platz and belongs to the Grand Hyatt Berlin. The special feature of this bar is that the bar brings back the 80s feeling. The interior design with gray concrete walls, contemporary art and individual items from the flea market cite the 80s as well as the music from the 80s that the DJs put on.
Of course, the cocktails represent the colorful 80s. With references to yuppies, poppers and punkers from the time, bar manager Felix Borchers reissues his cocktails at the Jamboree bar. Thus, "King Royal" is a reinterpretation of the then famous "Kir-Royal" with cassettes, gin, lemon and champagne. Or "Golden Colada" with guava, cinnamon, coconut and cachaça served in a golden pineapple. Another cocktail that quotes this decade is the "Blueberry Hill" with patchouli, rum, champagne and blueberry sorbet.
The music concept also celebrates the time: Berlin DJs play legendary retro songs from the 80s every Thursday from 5 pm. On this day the so-called "Kiez Night" with the Happy Hour until 8 p.m. with 50% on all drinks is also valid. Conclusion: If you like the eighties, you can't get past the Jamboree.
