Bar 260°: Friedrichshain’s Most Beautiful View

A rooftop bar that is neither designed to catch tourists nor reducible to Instagram aesthetics can be found on Uber Platz in Friedrichshain. Bar 260° is located on the seventh floor with an outdoor terrace of approximately 130 square meters. The name reveals its promise: it refers to the viewing angle from the terrace, which simultaneously captures the Spree, Oberbaumbrücke, East Side Gallery, and the TV Tower. This is not a random view, but a consciously chosen perspective on eastern Berlin.

Inside, the interior sets clear accents. Designer furniture, real wood parquet flooring, and a copper-clad bar that reflects the sunset throughout the entire room create a special atmosphere. Thanks to large glass fronts, one can enjoy the view over Berlin even in the colder months – cozy and sheltered. Those coming in summer should, however, reserve in advance, as the terrace quickly gets fully booked.

Cocktail Art with a View of the Spree

As remarkable as the view is, the drink menu is equally serious. The bar team creates unusual signature highballs and produces their own emulsions for classic cocktails. In addition, there are wine, champagne, and lemonades, as well as Asian-inspired snacks. For those who like it even more individual: If you just say “I wish I was special” to the bartender, you’ll be served a unique creation.

The concept changes roles with the clock: a quiet café during the day, bar life in the evening, with a program of events in between. On Thursdays and Fridays, the after-work series “260 Beats” features funk, soul, and house from changing DJs starting at 9 PM. Those coming with a larger group also benefit from the fact that Bar 260° simultaneously functions as an event location, and its multifunctional interior flexibly adapts to various event formats.
