Summer Stage of the ufaFabrik

The Summer Stage belongs to ufaFabrik in Tempelhof

The ufaFabrik is located on Viktoriastraße in Tempelhof on the grounds of the former Ufa film copy processing plant. On June 9, 1979, the vacant area was peacefully occupied, and since then, the people who live and work there have been operating a self-managed cultural center on approximately 18,000 square meters. The Summer Stage is a covered open-air stage with a white tent roof and open sides, which can accommodate up to 500 guests. Because the roof is fixed, performances take place even in the rain. In addition, there are year-round venues, including the Theater Hall, the Varieté Salon, and the Wolfgang Neuss Salon. The site is also an eco-project with approximately 70 kilowatts peak photovoltaics, a combined heat and power plant, green roofs, rainwater harvesting, and a small wind turbine from 1995. There is also an organic bakery, a health food store, and a children’s circus.

The 2026 Program on the Summer Stage

At the beginning of July, Dota performed with her band and the “Springbrunnen” (Fountain) tour, followed a few days later by the Songslam Summer Special, where singer-songwriters compete against each other and the audience decides by applause. In mid-August, the 9th Irish Festival Berlin ran for two days, featuring Tricia Collins and Conor Cunningham, the Dublin session band Beeswing, as well as Nightlark, Am Dúnta, and Tap Connection on the second evening. At the end of August, FALK and friends performed, including Miss Allie, Sarah Hakenberg, Lukas Meister, and The Incredible Herrengedeck. The ufaFabrik Boulevard concluded the season at the beginning of September, a street art and environmental festival on four stages with free admission, where Fuente Pública and the samba percussion of Terra Brasilis, among others, performed on the open-air stage. For Dota, a standing ticket cost 38.50 Euros, and a day ticket for the Irish Festival was 25 Euros.
