Located on Pichelssee in Spandau, Marina Base is Berlin's hub for raft and boat tours on the Havel, offering options for small groups as well as parties of up to 30 people. If you want to experience Berlin from the water, this is the place to be.

Rent a Raft in Berlin Spandau: Marina Base on Pichelssee

If you want to rent a raft or boat in Berlin, you’ll sooner or later end up at the Marina Base on Pichelssee in Spandau. Since 2014, the company has been renting out rafts, motorboats, and canoes directly on the Havel, precisely where the city ends and the water takes over. The fleet includes eleven rafts for groups of 8 to 30 people. Each raft is equipped with a picnic bench and a covered seating area; the larger versions also come with a toilet and a stainless steel gas grill. On the smaller 8-person rafts, a disposable grill can be booked for an extra charge. Departures are possible daily from 10:00, and you must return by 19:00 at the latest. This allows for nine hours on the water, enough for an extensive tour of the Havel to Wannsee or even Potsdam.

Motorboats, Canoes, and Barbecues on the Water

In addition to raft rentals, Marina Base also offers motorboats with 9.9 HP Mercury engines and canoes. Guests can also stop at the harbor restaurant on Pichelssee before or after their trip, and those unsure about route planning can get advice there. Saturday tours should be booked about two months in advance, but spontaneous trips are not a problem on other days. This makes Marina Base suitable for last-minute barbecue evenings on the water as well as planned company parties, birthdays, or bachelor parties. Those who prefer paddling to steering will also find canoes and SUP boards here. The boat rental is located directly at the bus station, and parking spaces are also available.
