Altstadthafen Berlin-Spandau

Directly at the Spandau lock, opposite the Citadel, lies one of Berlin's most central boat rental services. The Altstadthafen Berlin-Spandau is the starting point for tours on both the Havel and Spree, with a fleet ranging from cozy pedal boats to fully equipped houseboats.
Altstadthafen Berlin-Spandau: Where Havel and Spree Meet
The Altstadthafen in Spandau is located at the confluence of the Havel and Spree rivers, making it an ideal starting point for excursions into Berlin’s city center and the surrounding Brandenburg region. Those who moor or depart here do so at one of the city’s most strategically advantageous waterway locations. In addition to the popular Three Lakes Tour, the Berlin City Tour can also be started from the Altstadthafen. However, a rule applies: anyone wishing to navigate the Spree-Oder waterway in central Berlin, especially between the Oberbaumbrücke and the Mühlendammschleuse, needs a boat with radio. This somewhat limits the selection, but with good planning, you can go far.
Directly above the Spandau lock, opposite the Citadel, water travelers can start in all directions. The Altstadthafen also offers optimal infrastructure as a short-term mooring. All berths have side jetties as well as electricity and water connections. There is also a sewage pump-out station and a grocery discounter directly on the harbor premises.
Houseboats, Motorboats, and the E-Raft “Pink Lady”
Whether with or without a boating license: The boat rental in Berlin-Spandau offers a wide selection of rental boats. Available are sport yachts and excursion boats for license holders, as well as day cruisers for individuals without a boating license. Additionally, pedal boats, rowboats, and the e-raft “Pink Lady” are offered. For houseboat enthusiasts, the harbor also has something in store: A modern houseboat with two inboard engines, two cabins, and a large salon is available for charter. Mooring, swimming, stargazing: Houseboats combine holiday apartment comfort with real adventure on the water. If you want to drop by spontaneously, you can do so. However, online bookings are preferred. Those who arrive spontaneously may have to expect waiting times. So, it’s better to book briefly in advance.
