The Tiger Club on Deitmerstraße is one of the few purely vegan restaurants in southwest Berlin, serving Vietnamese, traditional, and original creations. Behind the building is an outdoor area, which the establishment itself calls a green oasis in the middle of Schlossstraße. Payment can be made in cash or by card, with card payments accepted for amounts of fifteen euros or more.

A Vegan Restaurant Off Schlossstraße

Steglitz is not an obvious district for vegan cuisine, and that’s precisely what makes the Tiger Club interesting. The restaurant is located on Deitmerstraße, a quiet side street just a few steps from Schlossstraße, and can therefore be reached within minutes from Rathaus Steglitz station, where the U9 and S1 lines stop. Vietnamese cuisine is served, and, as the establishment itself states, with a fine selection of delicious and purely vegan dishes. The menu combines traditional Vietnamese dishes with new creations, prepared according to in-house recipes and with fresh ingredients. However, the real highlight of the place is the outdoor area: the establishment describes it as a green oasis in the middle of Schlossstraße, and for an area otherwise characterized by shopping centers, that’s pretty accurate. Dogs are welcome both indoors and outdoors, and free Wi-Fi is also available. According to the imprint, Thi Ngoc Duyen Tran is responsible.

Homemade Lemonades and Coffee with Vegan Condensed Milk

What distinguishes the Tiger Club beyond its food menu is its drink selection, and the establishment makes no secret of it. It highlights its Vietnamese Cà Phê, which is served with homemade vegan condensed milk, thus offering precisely the variant that typically fails in Vietnamese establishments due to cow’s milk. Alongside this are homemade lemonades, aloe vera juice, and a jujube iced tea, as well as smoothies, shakes, and matcha and turmeric lattes. Those who come in the evening will also find cocktails, beer, and wine. The establishment is also practical for groups: with a reservation, up to fifteen people can be accommodated, and birthdays and private events are explicitly possible. All dishes are also available for take-away. Payment is accepted in cash or by card, with card payments accepted for amounts of fifteen euros or more; contactless payment, VISA, and EC cards are accepted. Reservations can be made by phone or via the tool on their website. However, the establishment does not publish prices, neither for dishes nor for drinks, so it’s best to inquire directly on site.
