Das Hoven bakes everything themselves daily, and most of it is vegan: bread, brioche, cakes, and other small delicacies. The queer cafe-restaurant Das Hoven is one of those brunch spots recommended by good friends. The brunch menu features highlights such as hashbrowns with poached eggs and spinach, fresh brioche with fried oyster mushrooms on avocado, and French toast with berry puree. Plus good coffee, enjoyed on the large terrace in summer. From 16:00, the kitchen switches to dinner, so if you’re having a late breakfast, feel free to stay.

Das Hoven: Breakfast with attitude in Kreuzkölln

The queer cafe is located in the heart of the Kreuzkölln neighborhood and has established itself as a true community meeting point. Those who enter Das Hoven are immersed in warm colors and a chic-cozy atmosphere where homophobia and discrimination simply have no place. The concept comes from owner Danjel Zarte, who deliberately wanted to “offer the community a safe space where all people can feel comfortable” with Das Hoven. The result: a breakfast spot that has become one of the city’s top recommendations.
