Parkcafé Pusteblume is located on Durlacher Straße at the edge of Volkspark Wilmersdorf, opposite Deutschlandradio in the former RIAS building. It has been operated as a small family business since 2006, with Nihal Shahnaei listed in the imprint. On Sundays and public holidays, there is a large brunch buffet for 19.90 Euros per person; children aged five to ten pay 6.50 Euros, and it is free for children up to four years old.
On the day before, a breakfast buffet is available, featuring various cheeses, colorful sausage platters, salmon with creamed horseradish, muesli, Mediterranean sheep’s cheese with olives, fruit salad, boiled and scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, sausages, mozzarella with tomato, sweet and savory spreads, as well as quark dessert and other desserts.
Terrace, Winter Garden and Playground Next Door
The establishment includes a large summer terrace, surrounded by a green hedge, a winter garden, and the indoor area. The park begins right outside the door: Volkspark Wilmersdorf was planned from 1904 under head gardener Richard Thieme, with the first sections created in 1912 and 1913. Together with Rudolph-Wilde-Park, it forms a green belt approximately two and a half kilometers long.
For families, the playground right next door is the main draw; the large “Zauberspielplatz” (Magic Playground) reopened in May 2024 after renovation. The à la carte cuisine is Asian and Mediterranean-inspired, with the lunch menu changing weekly. Reservations are accepted exclusively by phone. Important on buffet days: The number of reserved persons will be charged even if fewer guests arrive.
