Sun Yoga in Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg represents Hot Yoga at Berlin's highest level, and has done so since 2002. As Europe's oldest Hot Yoga studio, Sun Yoga not only trains ambitious practitioners but also sends inspiring teachers into the world with its renowned yoga teacher training for over 15 years.

Sun Yoga: Hot Yoga Teacher Training from Berlin’s Oldest Studio

Anyone looking for a yoga teacher training in Berlin that is truly focused on teaching will sooner or later find Sun Yoga. As Europe’s oldest Hot Yoga studio, Sun Yoga knows what it takes to become a good yoga teacher. The studio has been training inspiring Hot Yoga teachers for over 15 years, and the core of the training is the classic Hot Yoga sequence of 26 asanas and 2 breathing exercises. The focus is consistently on teaching, not just practicing.

The intensive training takes place in two blocks of two weeks each, with a two-week break in between. The day runs from 9 AM to approximately 10 PM. The training is bilingual in German and English, making it accessible to international participants. Very early in the training, participants begin to lead entire teaching units and then receive individual feedback on voice, body language, and expression. This sets it apart from many other yoga teacher training programs in Berlin.

Anatomy, Practice, and a Unique Curriculum

In daily yoga workshops, the anatomically correct alignment of the asanas and their effects are taught. Over the years, Sun Yoga has developed its own teaching material for this: a detailed manual describing the benefits, effects, alignment, and corrections for each individual exercise. Yoga anatomy is also an integral part of the training and is always taught with a focus on its practical applicability. This provides participants with a solid foundation for their future work as yoga teachers.

With 200 square meters of practice space, the modern Sun Yoga studio in Friedrichshain offers not only the largest but also one of the most beautiful yoga studios in the capital. The only prerequisites for admission are a regular yoga practice of at least six months and an openness to challenges and changes. Therefore, anyone seriously considering yoga teacher training in Berlin will find one of the city’s most experienced addresses at Sun Yoga.
