Saunaboot SpreeBanja

Anchored on Lake Müggelsee in Köpenick is arguably Berlin's warmest adventure: a floating sauna house that leaves all city noise behind. The SpreeBanja combines Finnish sauna culture with lake panorama, fireplace warmth, and a rooftop terrace.

Saunaboot SpreeBanja: Saunas on Lake Müggelsee

A skipper takes the SpreeBanja out onto Lake Müggelsee, Berlin’s largest lake, and anchors it there. Afterwards, he leaves the boat by dinghy, and the group remains alone on the water. All that can then be heard is the lapping of the waves against the hull.

A good 60 square meters of space are available on board: a Finnish sauna with a wood-fired Harvia stove and 200 kilograms of sauna stones, a relaxation room with a nine-meter-long glass front, and a four-square-meter skylight. It heats up to 60 to 90 degrees Celsius. On the rooftop terrace, there is a four-poster bed.

Full Moon Package with Overnight Stay

The sauna stove with a fireplace heats the entire boat, so it stays warm everywhere in winter. For longer stays, there’s the Full Moon Package: sauna, swim, barbecue, and an overnight stay on board, either by the fireplace or in the open-air four-poster bed. Reservations are for a maximum of four people.

Mineral water, coffee, and tea are included; additional drinks are available in the minibar. It operates all year round, starting at the water sports center on Müggelseedamm.
