John’s Bootcamp at The Reed on Alexanderplatz offers an intensive and effective workout with maximum calorie consumption.

If you want to really break a sweat, John’s Bootcamp at The Reed in Mitte is the right place for you. Fitness fans will get their money’s worth here – and burn a lot of calories, as you can burn up to 1,000 kcal in 60 minutes of training. In small groups, an intensive program set to fitting, loud music is completed in a darkened room, and it’s quite something.

Each day of the week is dedicated to a different body area: whether legs and glutes, back, or arms – the exercises are specifically focused on certain muscle groups. But don’t worry – your whole body will definitely be sweating here. The training program is a mix of strength and interval training. Floor exercises, step units, or weights alternate with intensive running units on the treadmill. In addition, there are the motivating prompts from the coaches, who want to get the best out of you and, of course, keep an eye on whether the participants are performing the exercises correctly and are happy to provide assistance if necessary. Even though the programs are designed to accommodate every fitness level and everyone can decide for themselves how intensely they want to do certain exercises, some prior sports experience should be brought along.

The workout takes place in a darkened room. The blue-violet light flatters the body and ensures that you are not distracted by analyzing your red face when looking in the mirror on the treadmill – there’s no time for that anyway. As strenuous as the workout is, afterwards endorphins flow through your body, and you experience a real high because you are so proud of yourself.

Towel service and toiletries for showering and getting ready are included in the course participation. And if you want to do something good for your body after an intensive workout, treat yourself to one of the high-protein shakes at The Reed’s café.

John’s Bootcamp and The Reed are part of the John Reed Fitness chain. The Reed sees itself as a clubhouse, but non-members are also welcome here, and you don’t need a membership to participate in the Bootcamp courses. You can book each session individually or as a package here.
