The tea shop of Kusmi Tea in Bikini Berlin looks bright, colourful and cheerful: The elegantly curved front is made of glass, the floor shines in bright red and on white shelves there are the tea tins in bright colours. The young and trendy image combines Kusmi with tea of very good quality. The main focus of this tea shop is on the best teas from China, India and worldwide. Kusmi mainly stands for black tea and green tea, the brand sells only one variety of herbal and fruit tea each.
For those customers who are particularly interested in mild teas without caffeine, a special brand, the Løv Organic, is also available at the shop at the Bikini Berlin. Løv Organic specializes on herbal, fruit and rooibos teas.
Kusmi Tea, despite the young appearance of the shops, is a tea company with tradition and history. Kusmi was originally founded in 1867 in Saint Petersburg and supplied even the Tsar's court in ancient Russia with its high-quality teas. In 1907, the company expanded and opened a branch in London, then the centre of the tea trade. In 1917, after the outbreak of the Russian Revolution, the Kusmi founding family Kousmichoff fled to Paris, where they opened a tea studio that still exists today. Kusmi Tea has also existed in Berlin since 1927. There are several Kusmi shops in Berlin, nowadays.
In the tea shop in the Bikini House, Kusmi also sells beautiful teapots made of glass, ceramics and even cast iron teapots from Japan as well as various good tea strainers. There is also a selection of high-quality tea bags for the office.
