Levy's Contor

At Levy’s Contor in Berlin-Mitte, you’ll find beautiful, valuable toys for curious children. Here you can still buy the wonderful traditional Anker stone building blocks for young builders, as well as detailed small models of historical aircraft, mechanical music boxes, or – more for adults – the rare Balances. These are painted metal figures with counterweights that, once nudged, swing peacefully back and forth.

Additionally, there is an astonishing collection of fabric dolls representing famous personalities. Here you’ll find a doll of the Mexican painter Frida Kahlo (complete with pronounced eyebrows), Albert Einstein with his characteristic hairstyle, and even a Sigmund Freud doll – with a couch!
