Berliner Schiffskontor: Birthday on the Spree

The Berliner Schiffskontor’s jetty is located at Stralau Harbor in Friedrichshain, with the service office just around the corner at the warehouse. From there, three event ships and a series of historic boats depart. The largest is the fully electric MS Stralau for up to 100 people, alongside which lie the heated Arcona from 1905, also certified for up to 100 guests, and the Möwe from 1925 for up to 30 people.

For smaller celebrations, choose one of the historic boats with a skipper: the mahogany Rivabus Aphrodite from 1950 for up to 21 guests, the launch Moguntia from 1922 with teak interior for 19 people, the steel yacht Kotaro, or two fantail yachts from the Engelbrecht shipyard from the 1920s and 1930s, each for six people. Two sloops can also be self-driven, one of which does not require a license.

Prices, Catering, and Routes

Charter prices are openly displayed. Two hours on the MS Stralau cost 1,850 Euros, on the Arcona 1,500 Euros, and on the Möwe 1,050 Euros. The small boats start from 385 to 530 Euros for two hours, a rowing boat for four people costs 15 Euros per hour. Charters are available from two hours; for event ships, the crew, consisting of captain, boatswain, and service staff, is always included.

A fully equipped bar is available on board the event ships, billed either by consumption or through a beverage package. Catering is provided by a permanent partner, from finger food and buffets to grilling on the deck of the MS Stralau; a picnic basket for two to twelve people costs from 37.50 Euros per person. The sound system is free and controllable via Bluetooth. Routes range from a two-hour trip through the city center to a five-hour journey via Köpenick and Müggelsee. Confetti and glitter must remain on land, and parking spaces at the jetty are scarce.
