The Carambar is located at Rathausstraße 1, between the Rotes Rathaus (Red City Hall) and Alexanderplatz, and occupies three floors. A distinctive feature is the large glass facade, which brings the square into the venue and, in the evening, showcases the bar to the square. During the day, the establishment operates as a restaurant, transforming into a party lounge in the evening. Outside, there are seats with large screens showing sports, and a party tent is added on weekends. Inside, there is a designated smoking area. Access is barrier-free, with a lift, wheelchair-accessible toilets, and a disabled parking space. There is no entrance fee.

The drink menu spans twenty-five pages and features around ninety cocktails, sorted by Classics, Martinis, Frozen, Coladas, and base spirit. The house cocktail bears the name of the venue and mixes vodka with Peach Tree, grenadine, watermelon liqueur, lime juice, as well as passion fruit and orange juice. Pitchers are available for groups, including Long Island, Mojito, Caipirinha, and Swimming Pool, along with a three-liter beer tower. The menu lists two prices for each drink, one for Happy Hour and one regular price, which makes comparison easy.
