The menu includes a Coconut Matcha and a hot Matcha Latte, which, together with the Matcha Crepe Cake, is simply the best you can order at this Matcha Lab. Milk alternatives are, of course, available. Additionally, there are homemade noodle bowls, changing sourdough breads, and Asian-inspired cakes, all with a surprising twist. For those craving something savory, summer rolls and lunch options are also on the menu. Signature drinks like the Vietnamese Egg-Presso or the antioxidant-rich Black Bean Latte complete the offerings in an unexpected way. DONGNAM Coffee Lab was opened in 2021 by Trieu Linh Vu and his gastronomic partner Binh Pham at Kurfürstendamm 105 in Charlottenburg. The aspiration was clear: to present Southeast Asian specialties in a modern ambiance and enrich Berlin as an ambassador of Asian coffee culture. Those familiar with the area know: right next door, at number 104, is the cozy Café Kudamm 1Love4, and just a few minutes’ walk away, The Barn in the legendary Café Kranzler building awaits with excellent single-origin coffee. DONGNAM Coffee Lab fits wonderfully into this ensemble and brings something that was previously missing on Kudamm: authentic matcha tea in Berlin at the highest level.
