Dining like in the Stone Age – Neukölln’s Restaurant Sauvage makes all of this possible. Here they only serve pre-historic dishes – turning the Sauvage into the world’s first paleo-restaurant! Paleo means that only natural, non-processed ingredients like vegetables, fruits, meat, fish, nuts, seeds and herbs are used for preparing your order. Milk products, cereals or sugar are not used which may be of interest to persons suffering from diabetes or food allergies. The menu reads as follows: lamb-mushroom-consommé with coriander, baked cod loin and sweet potatoes with estragon and garlic and cake of St-John’s Wort with caramel topping and hazelnut salt.

This prehistoric diet is said to have some beneficial effects such as increased fatburning, cleaner skin an improved immune system and also an increased libido. The success of this project seems to prove the owners right – in the meantime there is a second restaurant in Prenzlauer Berg.
