The Ampelmännchen is one of Berlin's best loved symbols, the little figure on East German pedestrian lights that survived reunification to become a citywide mascot. Once purely functional, the Ampelmännchen now appears on souvenirs, at dedicated shops and on crossings across the former East. This tag collects Berlin locations tied to the character.
Shops around Hackescher Markt and the eastern districts sell everything from keyrings to lamps in the familiar green and red shapes, and the crossings themselves draw photographers near Alexanderplatz and Unter den Linden.
