Dodo Beach Record Store

Dodo Beach Record Store in Schöneberg is arguably Berlin's most renowned address for vinyl enthusiasts: around 30,000 records, curated rarities, and a legendary Metal Dungeon in the basement. If you want to not only buy records but also learn a lot about these fine pieces, this is the right place.
Dodo Beach Record Store: Vinyl Culture since 2013
Dodo Beach has been a firm institution in the Schöneberg district since 2013. Behind it is Tomas Spindler, who already ran a record store in the 1980s and is also the head of the renowned Berlin concert promoter Trinity Music. The store exclusively offers carefully curated vinyl releases, from current new releases and reissues to classics. So, if you’re looking for Berlin’s best record store, you can’t miss this address. The assortment ranges from rare 60s beat LPs, current indie new releases, and reissued jazz classics from Blue Note, to heavy metal LPs. The consistent motto is: At Dodo Beach, there’s vinyl, and pretty much nothing else.
More Than Just a Record Store: Community and Live Experiences
With a broad musical spectrum, Dodo Beach reflects the diversity of its community: in addition to the Metal Dungeon in the basement, the store focuses on current releases, special finds, and a curated second-hand selection. But the store is far more than just a place to browse. In-store gigs, listening sessions, and meet-and-greets bring artists, labels, customers, and neighbors together. Additionally, there are two locations: one in Schöneberg and one in Prenzlauer Berg. The Schöneberg store is open Monday to Saturday from 12 PM to 7 PM, and the Prenzlauer Berg store is open Wednesday to Saturday from 1 PM to 6 PM. Those who cannot visit in person can also find selected concert and event tickets for Berlin in both stores.
