Charlottenburg's most renowned design address: LIVING BERLIN on Kantstraße unites around 40 showrooms of international top brands across five floors, making it the capital's largest specialized house for individual interior design.
What’s behind LIVING BERLIN?
The interior design house was established in 1999 in the former administration building of Dresdner Bank in Berlin-Charlottenburg and has since developed into the premier address for exclusive interior design. For over 25 years, it has been the center of Berlin’s Design District, spanning five floors at Kantstraße 17. The house has recently invested significantly: CBRE Investment Management has initiated modernization measures in the double-digit million range, including charging stations for electric cars in the underground car park and a complete redesign of the main entrance and gastronomic facilities. The house clearly remains dynamic.
Since the turn of the millennium, Kantstraße in Berlin-Charlottenburg has established itself as the premier address for design shopping, and around Savignyplatz, the density of kitchen studios, interior design offices, and interior shops is steadily increasing. So, anyone wanting to spend a whole day browsing and getting inspired will find exactly what they’re looking for here.
What awaits visitors in the building?
On three of the iconic building’s total five floors, around 40 interior design stores and brand showrooms are located, covering every area: living and dining, sleeping and kitchen, color planning and wall design, lighting concepts, carpets, and art. This makes LIVING BERLIN much more than an ordinary furniture store. Whether it’s furnishings, lighting, window decoration, carpets, flooring, bathroom, kitchen, accessories, grand pianos, or the latest home electronic system: everything is available here.
The brand profile is particularly strong. Exclusive design brands include Auping, BoConcept, and Vitra, as well as Bang & Olufsen, Ligne Roset, and Möve. Furthermore, one can not only shop in style but also create lighting concepts, commission color schemes, and learn about the perfect combination of style and technology in modern home electronics. The concept primarily considers that during a visit, one can inspect and directly compare trends and collections from various manufacturers. This saves time and provides genuine guidance when furnishing.
