On Bleibtreustrasse in Charlottenburg every child picks out a ceramic blank of their own, paints it at a decorated birthday table and collects it again once it has been fired. The party package holds the blank itself, a short painting briefing, invitation cards in two designs, a drink per child and a present for the birthday child.
Kinderkiste on Kaiser-Wilhelm-Straße in Lankwitz is Berlin-Steglitz's most family-friendly indoor playground: carpeted throughout, hand-painted animal walls, and a large wooden climbing area instead of a plastic structure. Billing is by the quarter-hour from 1 Euro, making short visits with toddlers affordable.
The Mini Me Kindercafé in Charlottenburg spreads its indoor playground over several levels of the café, with a ball pit, climbing frame, and a party basement complete with a children's disco. The first hour costs 4 Euros for children during the week. Anyone looking for an indoor playground in Berlin that doesn't look like an industrial hall will find pastel-colored tranquility here.
Monkey Town Berlin-Ost in Kaulsdorf belongs to a Dutch chain with over 40 venues and brings its pricing model to Berlin: The day pass is valid without a time limit, and the 10-visit pass is valid at all locations. The indoor playground focuses on slides, indoor climbing, and a large ball pit, plus free parking directly in front of the door.
With more than 2,000 square meters, Bambooland on Nonnendammallee is one of the largest indoor playgrounds in Berlin. The hall in Siemensstadtpark is designed as a jungle throughout, with the panda bear Bamboo as its mascot, a huge climbing labyrinth, and trampolines. The U7 stops at Paulsternstraße, from there it's a two-minute walk.
Karls Erlebnis-Dorf in Elstal is located half an hour west of Berlin and has no entrance fee. For rainy days, the free indoor areas are particularly important: the Play Barn with a ball pit and a giant slide with a timer, the Climbing Silo with eight floors, and Terminal E, where a real Antonov hangs from the ceiling and children can climb inside.
The Kindercafé Spielzimmer at Helmholtzplatz is the most affordable indoor playground in Prenzlauer Berg: one hour costs 2 Euros per child, accompanying adults pay nothing. The play area spans multiple levels with a climbing frame, double slide, and ball pit, plus there's a dedicated area for babies and toddlers.
In the heart of Charlottenburg, near Savignyplatz, a piece of the city transforms into a medieval adventure village. The "Sherwood Forest" playground on Knesebeckstraße focuses on fantasy over functionality, featuring Robin Hood, fairy tale figures, and an unparalleled climbing castle.
A round trip in a brightly decorated train car with garlands and balloons makes even the youngest train fans aged 3 and up happy on their birthday.
