Haarwerkstatt in Simon-Dach-Straße in Friedrichshain generally does not make appointments and operates under its own slogan that beauty needs no appointment. Washing and cutting cost 31 Euros for both women and men; customers dry their hair themselves. The nine-person team speaks English, Spanish, Arabic, and Vietnamese, among other languages.
artcut has been operating in Zossener Straße in the Bergmannkiez since 2007 without an appointment book, describing it in four words: no registration or appointments. Those who don't want to wait in the shop can use an online system to queue for the same day. Wash and cut cost 28 Euros for men, and a machine cut is 17 Euros.
At Checkpoint Charlie, a helium-filled balloon is attached to a steel cable, ascending 150 meters high, enough to view the Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag, Potsdamer Platz, and TV Tower all at once.
