Berghain

The Berghain is located in a district heating plant from 1953, which the operators bought themselves in 2010. There are 18 meters of air above the dance floor, the sound is provided by four Funktion-One towers, and upstairs in the Panorama Bar, house plays instead of techno. Among Berlin's techno clubs, this one has the toughest door, as cameras are taped over and there are no mirrors.

Berghain in Friedrichshain is Berlin's most famous celebrity club and a legend of the global techno scene. Those who get in will encounter celebrities, resident DJs, and a superlative sound system. The queue outside is almost as famous as the club itself.

The Lokschuppen was called Suicide Circus from 1994 to 2024 and has been located on the RAW Gelände since 2009, with the entrance via Warschauer Brücke. There is an indoor floor and an open-air area, and collectives like Formula 90 and GabberIndustries curate the program. Among Berlin's techno clubs, this one offers the most affordable nights.

Right next to Berghain, in the heart of Friedrichshain: Bierhof Rüdersdorf transforms a former district heating transfer station into a green, cozy beer garden with an industrial character, sun terrace, and the relaxed opposite of the club scene next door.
