For over 13 years, this cultural rooftop garden has been located on the top parking deck of the Neukölln Arcaden and has established itself as a place for club and subculture. The fact that an former parking garage became a meeting point for the Berlin scene is characteristic of this district. 1,000 square meters of wood are installed on the parking deck, plus a rooftop garden where wormwood, thyme, and oregano grow, eventually ending up in the cocktails.

On the self-built platforms around the large sandbox and the seating areas at the edge, the Berlin scene gathers, especially in summer after work, to enjoy the city’s panorama. Many smaller nooks between plant boxes ensure that the place feels cozy, even when it’s full. This is precisely what makes the Klunkerkranich so suitable for singles: you are never alone, but never lost either.

The Klunkerkranich is a platform for the diversity of Berlin’s club culture with concerts, performances, club nights, DJ sessions, and much more. The entrance is kept low-threshold, making the place a multi-generational space that fosters encounters and inspiration. Drinks, Dancefloor, and Rooftop Terrace Vibe

During the week, the gates open from 17:00 with concerts and DJ sessions in the lounge area; from Thursday to Saturday, the club “Hinter den Alpen” kicks off from 16:00. The bar serves ice-cold beers and cocktails, and the canteen “Zum Fetten Finken” offers a changing evening program, sometimes pasta, sometimes pizza. The absolute best time to visit is around sunset, as the view over Berlin slowly darkening from up here is simply impressive.
