Antje Behrens’ voice studio is located at Gaudystraße 7 in Prenzlauer Berg, in the district between Mauerpark and Schönhauser Allee. The U2 subway and the Ringbahn (orbital train) stop at Schönhauser Allee station, Tram M1 at Milastraße, and M10 at Eberswalder Straße. Antje Behrens has been running the studio alone since 1998. She completed a double degree with a diploma as a vocal coach and first and second state exams as a certified teacher for music and German, and later trained as a certified systemic coach. She has been involved with voice, body, and training for about thirty years. In addition to individual lessons, she gives seminars and teaches in professional development. She has published two specialist books on voice and speech training for teachers with Persen-Verlag, one for primary school and one for secondary school, both with audio-supported exercises. Training takes place at the studio in Gaudystraße or online via video call, depending on what best fits the schedule.

Application Training with Voice, Body Language, and Camera Work

For job applications, Antje Behrens offers a dedicated application training. In it, potential answers are practiced so that one’s strengths are truly highlighted, voice and body language are analyzed and changed step by step, and dealing with stage fright is given a firm place. Optionally, work is done with a camera so that one’s own effect can be checked. Speech training focuses on free breathing, a resonant sound, an appropriate pitch, and a calm tempo, while performance training focuses on confident yet friendly appearance, including in meetings. Additionally, there are seminars such as “Your Strong Performance” for self-presentation or relaxation and presentation training against performance anxiety. Clients include Humboldt University, Freie Universität, HTW Berlin, several employment agencies, and the IHK Berlin, plus courses at the Landesmusikakademie Berlin.
