Berliner Fernsehturm

The best view over Berlin is offered by the TV Tower at Alexanderplatz. At 368 meters, it is not only the tallest building in Berlin, but in all of Germany!
The elevator takes you up to the visitor sphere of the Berlin TV Tower at a height of 203 meters. From the observation deck with 60 panoramic windows, you have the absolute best 360° view of all of Berlin. The bustling activity of the capital looks like a toy land from above. Even distant destinations such as the Olympic Stadium and the Radio Tower can be seen from here. In good weather, the view even extends far beyond Berlin to the Tropical Island, about 80 km away.
Of course, well-known city center sights like the Brandenburg Gate or the Central Station also look amusing in miniature. Also fascinating from a bird’s-eye view is the old monastery ruin, not far from the TV Tower, which, as one of the few remnants of medieval Berlin, seems not to fit into the modern cityscape around Alexanderplatz at all.
If you’ve become curious, you can plan your further exploration tour up here based on the new overview of Berlin. For example, the nearby Nikolaiviertel with the Red City Hall and the restaurant “Letzte Instanz” would fit the medieval theme.
If you get hungry up top, you can even go higher. Above the observation deck is the revolving restaurant “Sphere” at 207 m. The special highlight is that the restaurant rotates once an hour around its own axis.
Here you can book your ticket for the TV Tower and a window seat in the restaurant in 30 seconds.
