MACHWERK is a social coworking space located in a historic building at Krögel 2 in Berlin-Mitte, just a few steps from the Spree river. What distinguishes this coworking space from others in Berlin is its self-conception as a non-profit venue: 100% of all proceeds from its activities flow into social projects in Berlin. Therefore, anyone booking a desk here inevitably does something good. The model is explicitly designed to be fair: NGOs and social startups pay from 118.25 Euros per month for a fixed workspace, while for-profit companies pay from 173.25 Euros.

The 345 square meter location brings together projects and companies with a social or civil society focus and offers day tickets, fixed desks, and meeting rooms that make optimal use of natural light. Thanks to high ceilings and large windows, MACHWERK is bathed in light and offers a friendly working atmosphere. If you need a break, you’ll find it outside: a sofa lounge with a view of the Spree invites you to enjoy cozy coffee breaks, and there’s also an outdoor area. Coffee is available free of charge all day, and regular community events enliven the space even after regular working hours. Alexanderplatz, with S-Bahn and U-Bahn connections, is within walking distance, making MACHWERK easily accessible from almost all Berlin districts.
