Hotel Esplanade Resort & Spa: Brine, Beach and Saunas in Bad Saarow

The Hotel Esplanade Resort & Spa is located directly on Lake Scharmützelsee in Bad Saarow, about a 45-minute drive from Berlin. The spa town opened its first mud spa in 1914, and the resort continues this tradition: the brine in the year-round heated outdoor pool is approximately 32 degrees Celsius and rich in magnesium. The Esplanade is an adults-only hotel; guests must be at least 16 years old.

The Esplanade Spa measures 3,500 square meters. In addition to the brine outdoor pool, there is a 20-meter sports pool, a whirlpool, and six saunas and warm rooms: steam bath, yoga sauna, stone sauna, bio sauna, an octagon log cabin sauna, and a Finnish log cabin sauna with a view of the moor. In 18 treatment rooms and four rooms for couples, soaps from the in-house manufactory are used, which are made from Märkisch sand, brine, and natural oils. Day guests can book the spa as a Day Spa.

Beach, Marina and Restaurants

The resort includes 170 rooms and suites in historic and modern buildings, its own marina, and a 3,000 square meter sandy beach. Italian cuisine is served at O’Vino, Pechhütte offers burgers and regional dishes, and a menu is served directly from the kitchen at Chef’s Table. Dogs can travel for an additional fee and are provided with a bed and bowls.
