Eicholz Tier- und Freizeitpark Germendorf

The zoo and amusement park Germendorf on the out skirts of Berlin offers lots of entertainment for families including and dinosaur park.

With an area of round about 70 hectares the zoo and amusement park in Germendorf is a perfect destination for a trip just outside Berlin. With the zoo, bathing beaches, picnic areas, playgrounds and carnival rides the park creates a unique mix of entertainment.

Over 650 animals are held at the park in Germendorf and some visitors might be surprised when a deer crosses their path as some of the animals are running loose. At a petting zoo you can even cuddle and feed some of the animals. The park is home of alpacas, ostrichs, flamingos and lots of other animals. Dogs are also welcome to visit, there even is a special beach where dogs can run free.

The bathing beaches are not watched by a lifeguard, so parents are required to watch their children themselves when swimming and bathing. During summer this is great fun though and one of the beaches even offers a water slide as well as a zip line over the lake. Other attractions include and ice rink, which is open throughout all seasons, an indoor playground and lots of other rides.

The signature area of Tier- und Freizeitpark Germendorf ist he dinosaur park though. Here kids get to discover the primeval times and learn a lot about dinosaurs, mammoth and other creatures of the Stone Age. Many of the animals are reproduced in their original size which is why you can spot the heads of the enormous Brachiosaurs from far away.

You should consider spending a whole day at the park so you have enough time to discover all the areas of the huge park. Enjoy a picnic on the lawn or buy some snacks on one of the food stalls. There are many possibilities to get a break.
