The Vietnamese restaurant 1990 Vegan Living at Boxhagener Platz in Berlin-Friedrichshain offers an all vegan menu. You can try plenty of vegan Vietnamese tapas – perfect for sharing in a group. If you’re not that much into sharing your food you can also order one of the vegan bowls. All dishes go along perfectly with the homemade lemonades, juices, cocktails and shakes.
You can chose from about 20 different vegan tapas dishes. Some of them are very traditional, others are a new interpretations made of fresh products. The typical exotic taste is obligatory! The tapas are combined with either a bowl of noodles, white or red rice. You can write down your choice of tapas on small order slips, which is a common way that is know from other Asian tapas bars in Berlin’s foodie districts.
The interior of the restaurant at Krossener Straße is in proper style of the Vietnam of the 90s which is also where the concept comes from. In 1990 there was a lack of meat so people had to come up with tasty vegan alternatives without missing out the exotic spices of the Vietnamese cuisine.
