Two Trick Pony cooks a brunch with a British hand in a former pub beside the church at Suedstern, including a fry-up with black pudding. Jason Starmer and Gary Young moved from London to Kreuzberg after Brexit, no tables are reserved here at all, and the suppliers of the sourdough and the brioche are named on the menu by name.

On the first floor of the Hotel Adlon, the Lorenz Adlon Esszimmer serves classic French cooking with Asian aromas, in wood-panelled salons and with a view of the Brandenburg Gate. The head chef Jonas Zoerner brings five courses to the table for 275 euros, and the wine pairing comes from a cellar of more than 1,600 entries.

In the pedestrian zone on Boehmischer Platz in Rixdorf, Sarah Hallmann has run her Hallmann und Klee since 2016 and in 2024 took the only new Berlin Michelin star of the year. Her menu costs 128 euros including filtered water, the drinks pairing 68 euros, and at the houses high tables single courses are served without a booking.

Since 1997, the Ständige Vertretung on Schiffbauerdamm has been serving Gaffel-Kölsch in the government district, founded by two Rhinelanders even before the federal government relocated. Amidst poster-sized politician photos, you can find Himmel un Äd and Rhenish Sauerbraten. Gerhard Schröder, Helmut Kohl, and Angela Merkel were among the guests of this political cult venue.

Lieschen Müller is located on the ground floor of the TV Tower, with a summer terrace by the Neptune Fountain's water features. It is named after Marlies, once an artist in the GDR State Circus and a dancer in the old Friedrichstadtpalast. On weekends, the Cirque du Burlesque takes place here, offering four hours of burlesque and modern circus at eye level with the audience.

At the base of the TV Tower on Karl-Liebknecht-Straße, Knutschfleck combines four things: a variety show, a restaurant, a cocktail bar with over 150 drinks, and a show brunch on weekends. After the show, DJs play for the club night, with admission included in the show ticket. Variety in Berlin that continues as a party night.

For decades, the Paris Bar on Kantstraße has been the unofficial living room of the Berlin bohemia. Original works by Martin Kippenberger, Georg Baselitz, and Daniel Richter hang on the walls alongside French bistro cuisine. David Bowie, Madonna, and Robert De Niro have been guests, and during the Berlinale, this Charlottenburg celebrity restaurant is almost impossible to get a seat in.

On Chausseestraße in Berlin-Mitte, Bruno Bonfini has been running a restaurant since 1998 that needs no showmanship. White and blue checkered tablecloths, tagliolini with beef fillet and truffle, plus a chef who personally visits each table. As a discreet celebrity restaurant, Bonfini attracts guests like Jasmin Tabatabai and Ben Becker.
