Katzencafe Pee Pees

Neukölln

Fight off a hangover with real cats and enjoy a delicious 'hangover breakfast' – that's possible in Berlin's first cat café in Neukölln.

It has been proven that stroking cats and listening to their purring is calming and can even be healthy. Researchers from Graz, for example, found that a purring cat on your lap helps heal bone fractures faster and helps against asthma, high blood pressure, sleep disorders, and stress. So why shouldn’t the furry friends in Berlin’s first cat café also do us good during a mundane hangover? Plus, a real “hangover breakfast” is on the menu here. So head to “Pee Pee’s” in Körnerkiez!

Pelle and Caruso are the names of the velvet paws that sneak around the café here. The two are particularly cuddly and openly approach people, especially if they have cozy backpacks or cuddly jackets with them. However, the cats also have their own retreat areas if the hustle and bustle ever gets too much for them.

Aside from the two four-legged friends, a visit to Pee Pee’s is also worthwhile for its culinary offerings: In addition to breakfast with delicious coffee specialties, homemade cakes, muffins, tarte flambée, and quiche are offered, many of which are also available in vegan versions.
