Pee Pees Cat Cafe: Berlin’s First Address for Fur and Caffeine

As Berlin’s first cat café, Pee Pees has a real history. The old-timers Pelle and Caruso retired in 2024 after 11 years, but Skadi, Ylvi, and Odin have since taken over the reign at Thomasstraße 53 in Neukölln. So, if you’re lying on the couch with a hangover and wondering if there’s a better idea than series and painkillers: yes, there is.

Incidentally, it is scientifically proven that petting cats and listening to their purring has a calming effect and can even be healthy. Researchers from Graz found that a purring cat on your lap helps with asthma, high blood pressure, sleep disorders, and stress. So there’s nothing against a homemade hangover cure.

Freshly Baked, Purringly Served

The menu features homemade tarts and cakes as well as savory dishes, all freshly prepared with organic quality. Especially the honey-almond cake and hot chocolate have made a name for themselves among regular guests. The calm, unagitated atmosphere and the friendly people create a pleasant mood – which is simply golden on a day after a long night.

Pee Pees Cat Cafe is open Tuesday to Friday from 13:00 to 18:00, and Saturday and Sunday from 12:00. On Mondays, the door remains closed – which shouldn’t affect anyone with a hangover after the weekend anyway.
