Landhaus Himmelpfort by the Lake: Country House on Lake Haussee

Many families know Himmelpfort primarily for its Christmas post office. Located between Lake Haussee and Lake Stolpsee, the town is also a destination in summer for cyclists, water sports enthusiasts, paddlers, and all who enjoy peace and quiet by the water. Landhaus Himmelpfort has stood in this spot for almost 100 years and has been carefully restored. The property includes a large garden with private access to Lake Haussee.

The house is not large: Nine suites and two double rooms are available, many of them booked early by regular guests. The suites bear names like Oxford or Loire instead of numbers and are furnished in a country house style. Each has its own kitchen, so families can cater for themselves.

Garden, Sauna, and Boat Rental at Landhaus Himmelpfort

On the lakeside property, there are beach chairs and relaxation shells with views of Lake Haussee. In the basement, there is a small sauna. Boats can be rented directly at the house; the waterways around Himmelpfort lead further towards the Mecklenburg Lake District.

The house includes the Restaurant Michaelis with its own kitchen. Homemade vinaigrette and jam are available for take-away.
