Designer Annika Rendel founded Finkid in 2002 in Berlin-Charlottenburg. The brand name deliberately refers to Finnish influence and emphasizes the Nordic aesthetic. What started as a small Berlin brand is now visible in almost every city playground. The design of the children’s clothing is inspired by the vast landscapes, blue lakes, and dense forests of Finland.
