As soon as you enter the restaurant at Scharnweberstraße in Berlin-Reinickendorf you can feel the Indian flair. The main road, where the restaurant is located, is completely forgotten as soon as you enter the restaurant. Traditional knitwear and paintings meet a very modern decor and create a special atmosphere altogether.

Papadam advertises its recipes handed down from several generations, but also its reinterpretation of the Indian cuisine. Chicken, lamb, fish and duck dishes are offered as well as Tandoori specialties from the original Indian Tandoori clay oven. There is also a monthly changing menu and a daily changing lunch menu. From 12 pm to 4 pm guests can choose from seven different dishes. A soup and salad are also available at a very affordable price. Another special feature: All dishes are prepared with Masala, a mix of 30 herbs and spices prepared in Mama’s personal kitchen. There is a small guava juice to finish each menu.

An interesting fact is that for a little extra charge a bowling alley can be booked in the basement of the restaurant. The friendly service rounds off the visit at Papadam. Either after a nice walk through the nearby park Volkspark Rehberge or a shopping trip in the north of Berlin – Papadam offers a great opportunity to experience oriental flair in Reinickendorf.
