Since 2012, the Tadshikische Teestube (Tajik Tea Room) is centrally located in Oranienburger Straße in Berlin-Mitte. It can be found in the Kunsthof, a beautiful industrial yard dating from the end of the 18th century. Thus it is situated not directly on the street front, but somewhat hidden.

Entering the tea room you find yourself in another world, because the ambience in the Tajik tea room with its comfortable cushions, low wooden tables and oriental carpets reminds of a fairy tale from 1001 nights. Every Monday, two narrators are also guests, who take the tea-sipers into imaginative worlds. The fairy tale tea lessons have a long tradition here.

As far as tea selection is concerned, guests can choose from 42 tea varieties from all over the world. The tea is heated in a samovar, which takes a while to reach the right operating temperature. On request, small Russian dishes such as blinis and pelmeni can be served with the tea.

Those who come here should not be in a hurry, but should bring along time. Each tea is prepared individually and should be drunk with peace and quiet.
