Hisar

The Hisar at Schöneberg is the fastfood origin of the Turkish Hisar Restaurant. The kebab shops still sells traditional doner kebabs, dürüns and lahmacun, the Turkish pizza.

The shop has been existing since 1986. When the Wall came down, the location on Yorckstraße was dead central all of a sudden and their kebab turned into a uniting cultural value. The Hisar story of success yet does not end here: In 2005 the location was reborn as Turkish restaurant with a next door kebab shop. The restaurant currently undergoes renovation but the kebab shop remains operative.
