The Restaurant Viktoria Luise is an elegant Swabian restaurant on Viktoria-Luise place in Berlin-Schöneberg. The restaurant starts its goose season with Martin's Day on 11 November 2018, when, in addition to Swabian specialties like Maultaschen and Käsespätzle, there will be roasted goose on the Christmas menu during the entire Christmas season into January.
The goose leg is served in a classic way as goose breast or leg with red cabbage and green cabbage and of course you can have here original Spätzle Swabian style. If you like, you can also get dumplings or potatoes. A speciality in the Viktoria Luise is the "Martinsteller", here you get a mix of roast duck and roast goose on one plate.
The restaurant Viktoria Luise is not only named after the Prussian princess, by the way the only daughter of Emperor Wilhelm II, but it is also located in the former winter residence of the princess. The beautiful stucco ceiling, which can still be seen in the restaurant, still bears witness to this history of the house.
The Viktoria-Luise is one of four restaurants in Berlin, belonging to the Wiesenstein restaurant group, which offers traditional southern German cuisine with Remstal wines, Alpirsbach beer and traditional dishes that have been interpreted in a modern way in cooperation with the famous star chef Peter Frühsammer. Thus, the restaurant is a culinary tip not only at Christmas time.
