The Asisi Panorama THE WALL is located at the historic place Checkpoint Charlie.

The large panorama picture has a size of 900 square meters and can’t be missed when walking on Friedrichstraße. It conveys a view of the wall from the district Kreuzberg to Mitte on a fictitious autumn day in Berlin in the 80s. The viewing direction goes from the visitor´s platform in the west through the death strip and the Berlin Wall to Mitte in the eastern part. It is possible to observe Berliner’s in their daily life while moving, eating a Currywurst or standing at the corner’s pub.

The panorama provides kind of a time travel to the days before the collapse of the wall and shows stories as well as scenarios of the daily life at that time. This is an interesting insight especially for younger people who are born after the fall of the wall. A photo exhibition of contemporary witnesses and the exhibition “CHANGE OF PERSPECTIVE” complete the experience.
