The great permanent exhibition at Zeughaus Unter den Linden takes you on a journey of 1500 years of German history with more than 7000 artefacts on display. Children and parents alike can spend a day there during the school holidays – what about learning something about medieval knights, go on exploration with the famous Humboldt brothers or learn something about the history of writing in a scriptorium?
Every Sunday at 2:00 pm, the DHM invites for the family Sunday with special programmes. Guided tours for families and history workshops can also be booked both by nursery groups and families alike.
With special audio tours or with an explorer’s bag, kids can discover the permanent exhibition on German history on their own. Kids from 5 years on and fond of history can book a medieval coronation ceremony as their birthday party at the Deutsches Historisches Museum.
