Fine falafel and typical Persian-Arab dishes are prepared in the restaurant at Pestalozzistraße in Charlottenburg. Besides the variety of vegetarian meals, the Karun also offers Schawarma and other meat dishes of good quality. The portions are very generous for a fair amount of money.

One reason why the falafel balls taste so fresh is because of the herbs that are mixed into the chickpea dough. Whether you order the falafel in a sandwich to go or on a plate – they go well with sesame sauce, humus or Mottabal (eggplant purree). A variation of rice dishes, like dill rice with beans or rice with sour cherries, can also be combined with the falafel (or other dishes for that matter).

Those who don’t fancy a take-away can just order at the bar and then choose one of the plenty seating options inside the restaurant. Your order will be served at your table. The rear area offers a corner where children can play while their parents enjoy some tea along with their meal.

A special shout-out goes out to the staff. They work hard, fast and extremely well-coordinated. Even if there’s a crowd waiting, they manage to stay friendly and your food will be ready in no time.

By the way: The Karun also offers delivery service and caterings.
