The restaurant on Steinplatz is the right place to take your business partner for a meal and to showcase the Berlin gastronomy from its best side. The ambience is elegant without being loud-mouthed and the restaurant’s cuisine is second to none – even at lunch hours! Executive chef Markus Zimmer was recently proclaimed “Newcomer of the Year” by the association of Berlin master chefs. The concept of the restaurant and the kitchen set-up was signed for by none other than award-winning chef Stefan Hartmann.

Born in Berlin Jean-Marc Komfort is a passionate chef and well known at the gastronomic scene.
Besides his long-standing experience in the Cookies Cream universe, stops at NOMA Copenhagen and Forsthaus Strelitz are part of his career. His new playground is now the Restaurant am Steinplatz.

Local beers from small breweries, such as the signature “Endell Ale” from the Berlin Craft Beer Brewery Schoppe Bräu and a selection of German vinyards such as Weingut Schloss Prosswitz and Weingut Freissigacker, offer a wide variety of regional high-class beverages to choose from.

Special treat: Through the open kitchen design of Restaurant am Steinplatz, the guests can watch the chefs work their magic while preparing your order and see how things are made.

Next to tables inside with 50 seats available, the guests at the restaurant can also use the conservatory going aournd the green patio or have a seat on the street side terrace outside.

The building housing Hotel am Steinplatz is a sight itself: It was designed and built by August Endell, the architect who also built Hackesche Höfe and has quite some stories to tell. It served as an estate mansion, grand hotel, officers’ mess, artists’ bar and as retirement home. After a reconstruction stretch of three years, it opened its doors again at Berlin’s most private luxury hotel in December 2013.
