The popular beer garden on Lake Orankesee in Berlin-Hohenschönhausen shines since July 2017 in new splendor. After long construction work, the Orankesee Terrassen were built as a solid building, which are immediately well-visited as a restaurant, café and beer garden with lake view in good weather.
In the middle of the forest you reach the large restaurant after a short walk and are rewarded with a wonderful view of Lake Orankesee. This view of the small lake can be enjoyed from inside the restaurant through large picture windows, outside from the terrace of the restaurant and in summer from the beer garden under shady trees. Since the restaurant is located directly on the lake and no road leads directly there, you sit outside without traffic noise and almost forget that you are actually in a big city.
Gastronomically, the restaurant offers much from the fast grill cuisine: from fried pike-perch to pork fillet skewer or grilled chicken breast fillets, mostly served with French fries and a fresh salad. Also cake and a big chocolate ice cream with lake view are to be had here.
