District Môt

Entering the District Môt in Berlin-Mitte you’ll be reminded of a typical scene in the streets of Saigon immediately. Colorful stool and walls, an original cookshop for decoration matters – everything reminds you of a trip to Vietnam – including the wonderful smell of Vietnamese food.

If you’re experimental you can try chicken feet salad, frogs’ legs, and silkworms but if you’re rather not into such adventures, you can also opt for other more common dishes like spring rolls, fried rice or a curry. You can find funny details in every meal though: The curry is served with a whole chicken leg instead of little chicken pieces, and some drinks are prepared with Jelly (black grass) which is very well known in Asia. We can highly recommend the desserts like Pandan cake or Manio cake with coconut milk, sticky rice or silk tofu. The homemade macarons with different fillings taste wonderfully!

The District Môt nearby Hackescher Markt beams with a young and dynamic atmosphere. The stools might not be the comfiest for a long dinner and endless conversations, but the place is perfect for a delicious meal in between.

During the warmer season you can also sit on small tables on the sidewalk.
